We invite expressions of interest in board membership

Intersex Human Rights Australia (IHRA) is keen to receive expressions of interest from people interested in joining the board of the institution. Intersex Human Rights Australia is a Public Benevolent Institution that promotes the human rights (including the bodily autonomy) of people born with intersex variations. We engage in systemic advocacy and collaborative work with other groups, organisations and institutions.

Currently we have 4 directors, located in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney with a range of intersex variations, expertise, ages and gender identities. We are open to applications from residents anywhere in Australia, with a particular interest in applications from people from underrepresented communities and regions.

Board meetings typically take place via Skype or other teleconferencing facilities, with regular discussion via social media and email. Time and regular access to a computer and the internet are prerequisites.

If you are interested in a board position, please send us your CV and a cover letter by 15 April 2018. Please tell us about yourself, the skills and experience you can bring to the board, your interest in intersex issues, and why you would like to join the board.
