Our board and staff met for a strategic planning weekend in Canberra, ACT, this last weekend, 16-17 July 2022. This was also the first time that our directors and our staff met each other in person – the effects of the pandemic mean that we have been functioning entirely online with no full in-person meetings since January 2020. This was a vitally important opportunity to connect and talk face-to-face.

We were also pleased to hear from Dr Hannah Holland who talked about the ACT government’s plans to regulate medical interventions on people with variations of sex characteristics. IHRA is one of many stakeholders who have been engaged in active discussions with the ACT government on these proposals, which were kicked off by a joint letter by IHRA, IPSA and AGA.

Thank you to Dr Hannah Holland for taking the photo. Sadly, Candice Cody was unable to join us.
