We announce publication of a joint consensus statement, the “Darlington Statement”, by Australian and Aotearoa/New Zealand intersex organisations and independent advocates, in March 2017. It sets out common priorities and calls to action by the intersex human rights movement in our countries.

Together with the AISSGA, we started regular monthly social events in Sydney in December 2014. From September we’re going to change the day and venue. Intersex community organisations will be present at Sydney Mardi Gras Fair Day for the first time this year: OII Australia and the AIS Support Group Australia share a stall on Sunday 22 February.
Open community social events for people with intersex variations will start in Sydney on 9 December 2014, in partnership with the AIS Support Group Australia. Anyone with an intersex variation is welcome, as are parents and families of children and adults with intersex variations. You don’t need to be a member of either organisation to come along.
