Morgan Carpenter speaks at Arcus forum: “invisible no more”

Morgan Carpenter has been invited to speak on a panel on the international intersex human rights movement, presented at the conference Creating Change in Chicago, USA. Morgan spoke alongside Natasha Jímenez (Costa Rica), Julius Kaggwa (Uganda), Hiker Chiu (Taiwan), Silvan Agius (Malta) and Kimberly Zieselmen (US). Chicago, Illinois, USA. 22 January 2016.

Invisible No More, an Arcus Forum featuring an international panel of intersex activists exploring the landscape of this growing human rights movement, shed light on challenges that face current advocacy efforts as well as developments that are driving increased levels of awareness and support for intersex issues worldwide.

The event was chaired by Carter Covington, executive producer of the MTV program Faking It – the first television show to have a main character with an intersex variation.

The event was produced in partnership with interACT and the Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice.
