AISSGA annual conference this weekend

This weekend our friends at the Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome Support Group Australia (AISSGA) hold their annual conference, in Sydney near Central Station.

If you haven’t registered yet, please do so quickly by emailing bonnie@aissga.org.au. Registration is free and open to all intersex people and their families who are current members. There is a small travel bursary available to help cover the cost of travel for folks who are financially disadvantaged.

The conferences are always a great chance to meet and discuss issues with other intersex people, face to face and they’re an important social gathering as well.

Amongst other sharing and discussion sessions and a conference dinner, speakers include Rebecca Reynolds, National LGBTI Health Alliance, talking about “Effective Peer Support”; Dr Shubha Srinivasan, “Casual Conversation with a Paediatric Endocrinologist”; Dr Elizabeth Anne Riley, “Sexuality & Relationships”; and Morgan Carpenter, on “Contemporary Intersex Activism & Advocacy”.
