Tony Briffa in movie “West and Proud”
Tony Briffa, our vice president, appears in a new movie collecting eight interviews on lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex life in Melbourne’s west. Entitled WESTANDPROUD, the move celebrates “pride, visibility and diversity”:
Tony is a human rights and GLBTIQ advocate and was the first openly intersex mayor in the world. Tony has been instrumental in the many positive GLBTIQ-related developments at Hobsons Bay and the West in recent years. Tony has lived in Altona since birth and recently travelled to New Zealand to marry Manja.
The movie screened for the first time on 19 May in Yarraville, Victoria.
