Intersex ideas workshops for Sydney World Pride

In early 2023, Sydney will hold a human rights conference as part of Sydney World Pride. Come along to one of these two workshops on 16/17 February (date depends on timezone) and let us know how the event can reflect and respond to the interests and needs of people with intersex variations.

Submission to WPATH on the draft SOC8 intersex chapter

On 2 December, WPATH issued a call for public comment on draft chapters for the Standards of Care for the treatment of transgender and gender diverse people, seeking feedback by 16 December. It includes a chapter on intersex. This is our submission in response.

Human Rights Day 2021

Today is Human Rights Day, marking the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. To mark this day, at the end of a big year, we want to thank the people who are working with us to ensure that the human rights of people with innate variations of sex characteristics are respected, protected and fulfilled.

The Australian Medical Association (AMA) yesterday published a Position Statement on LGBTIQA+ Health 2021, affirming the human right to bodily integrity. IHRA welcomes this statement.
