Board and staff changes from the 2019 AGM

Our board on 17 November 2019

Board members on 17 November 2019: Aileen, Morgan, Steph (outgoing), Tony, Peter and Agli, in Hobsons Bay

This weekend, IHRA held a strategic planning day in Williamstown, Melbourne, followed on Sunday 17 November by our AGM in Altona and a Family Day at Altona Homestead.

We are sad to announce the departure from our board of two exceptional, articulate and talented people who have made vital contributions to the intersex movement in Australia. Steph Lum has created the YOUth&I intersex youth publication, spoken at Women Deliver, as well as leading important improvements to our governance and legal analysis. Alex David has appeared in ABC’s You Can’t Ask That and the SBS Insight program on intersex. We give heartfelt thanks for their work and their friendship.

We are delighted to formally welcome Dr Agli Zavros-Orr to our board, including in the role of co-chair, and to welcome Florin Douglas as a new staff member, and part-time administrator. Agli brings a wealth of experience in teaching and early childhood development, while Florin brings valuable experience in administration and event management. Welcome! Florin’s role is very kindly funded for one year by the Victorian government. Find out more about Florin on our staff page.
